Do you want know how to dress up for your body type?                                   There are various types of physical and every woman and man has its conformation.
Finding one’s own is useful to improve one’s appearance through the right look that allows you to highlight the strengths.
Below we will go to see what they are and how to enhance them by wearing the appropriate clothing and we will suggest how to dress according to the type of body you have.
Let’s start by identifying the type of physical that corresponds to our body by analyzing the categories that are: pear,  triangle, apple, rectangle and hourglass.

Pear Type

This type of body has the upper part of the body narrower than the lower one. The shoulders are narrow and the hips wider than the waist and shoulders.
To improve the pear shape, the dresses that highlight the upper part of the body are recommended, giving more volume to the shoulders.
We must try not to emphasize more the contrast between the narrow shoulders and the circumference of the hips and shift the attention on the upper part of the body.
Here are the tips on what to wear, both for men and women.

Pear Woman

  • Necklines: the necklines for people of the pear type must be wide, round or boat neck, because they make the shoulders look wider. The V-shaped and heart-shaped necklines are used to highlight the breast point and make it appear larger (do not forget to wear a balconette bra or a Push up).
  • Tops, tank tops and T-shirts: they must not be adherent because they would highlight the narrow upper part even more. The tops and the tank tops must have thin straps because they make the shoulders appear wider and the body slender. Choose soft garments with a kimono or batwing sleeve. Choose tops, tank tops or t-shirt that end up on the hips or below (as tunic) do not wear wide tops tank tops or t-shirt expecially on to the waist cause would shorten the figure. Ok to the tops that cross around the waistline or go inside the pants or skirts. Highlight the waistline even with belts. No swollen plush sweaters.
  • Shirts: wide with important collars, with ruffle and motifs on the upper part, with revers, jabot or bow tie at the neck. Yes to the cuffed sleeves because they give volume. Put the shirt inside the pants or skirt and highlight the waist with a belt, if you want to bring the shirt out, better to wear a long up to the hips or beyond.
  • Skirts: skirts must be soft and not wrapped, must not have a low waist, and must be on the waist or with a high waist. You prefer a skirt with a flared line because it gives balance to the figure. Ok for the wallet skirts and the flared panels skirts on the bottom, the vertical cuts make the figure slimmer. Remember to  highlight always the waistline. Absolutely no to the peplum or to all kinds of skirts that have ruffles or motifs on the hips. The length of the skirt must be at the knee or just above or long, avoid the midi skirt because shorten the figure. Avoid pleated skirts or with an elastic waistband.
  • Trousers: Avoid low waist pants, but use those on the waist or high waist. No to tight, stretch or cigarette pants. Yes to trousers with straight cut, with soft fabric that does not wrap the body. No to the lapels on the bottom of the pants. Avoid trousers with pleats, drawstring at the waist or various ruffles.
  • Dresses: Avoid clothes that wrap the body. Yes to the dress shirts or tunic with a straight and soft line that help to minimize the hips.
  • Jackets: choose jackets with squared shoulders and shoulder pads. Yes to long jackets that cover the hips, because they slender the figure as well as hiding the hips. Avoid the double breast that widens the figure. Yes to the raincoat with the belt at the waist. Avoid the short and tight jackets on the waist that highlight the wide hips.
  • Swimwear: the physical pear can wear a bikini, but emphasizing the upper part of the body with bandeau or triangle bras, adorned with ruffles or ripples, sequins, applications or motifs that give more volume. The color of the upper part can be fancy or light colors. The briefs should not be low-waisted but rather high-waisted. There must not be ruffles, decorations, ripples, or details that call attention. For the underneath it is better to use a dark color. No to the monokinis model.
  • Fabrics: choose medium-heavy fabrics such as cool wool, crêpe, cotton and linen.
  • Colors: use dark solid colors on the lower part (trousers and skirts), while using light colors, patterned prints and bright colors for the upper part (blouses, tops, etc.). On the lower part of the body do not use scottish or checked fabric, fantasy, shiny or with reflections, also avoid the fabrics with glitter, capture the light and swell the figure.

Put the shirt inside pants and highlight the waist with a belt, if you want to wear the shirt out, then wear a long up to the hips or beyond.
  • Trousers: Avoid low waist pants. No to tight pants, stretch or skinny. Yes to trousers with straight cut, with soft and non-binding fabric. No to the lapels on the bottom of the pants. Avoid trousers with pleats, drawstring at the waist or various ruffles.
  • Jackets: choose single-breasted jackets with squared shoulders and shoulder straps, wide lapels. Long jackets that descend on the hips, because they slender the figure as well as hiding the hips. Avoid the double breast jacket that widens the figure. Yes to the raincoat with the belt at the waist. Avoid the short and narrow waist jackets that highlight the wide sides.
  • Swimsuit: better a pair of Bermuda shorts not elasticized, soft and long 5 cm above the knee, in solid color possibly using dark colors, at most with a side band that slender the figure. Fantasies, especially large ones, which would enlarge the figure, must be avoided. Do not wear the low life, but prefer the high one, to avoid that the belly remains out of the swimsuit.
